This industry's success is amplified by the ingenious Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), the world’s most cost-effective space agency, and also the most successful one. Similarly, the field of private and commercial space sector is rapidly expanding, mirroring this substantial value and scaling. These sectors present a fertile ground for legal professionals, with a critical need for expertise in navigating the complex legal frameworks and regulations.

This specialized course is meticulously designed to equip legal professionals, policymakers, students, and industry stakeholders with a deep understanding of the legal intricacies in the International Law of Outer Space, and its application and uses in India. The course will begin by exploring the historical development and current state of Space Law. It will then conduct an in-depth analysis of the legal and regulatory frameworks governing these fields, separately for International Treaties and Indian frameworks. Following this, the course will review relevant treaties, policies and regulations to provide a comprehensive understanding of the practical implications of these laws and their applications, preparing students to handle similar situations effectively. The program will conclude with practical insights from practicing lawyers and a perspective on the industry's future. The course will consist of recorded lectures, compulsory readings and quizzes after every module followed by a final test at the end of the course. The duration of the course is estimated to be 20 hours in total.
